It is with deep sadness that we report the death of Sister Dr Maura Lynch.  Sister Maura had recently undergone a hip operation, following a fall, but died from the effects of malaria, at Nsambya Hospital, yesterday.

Sister Maura Lynch had devoted her life to the care of women in Africa and had transformed Kitovu Hospital into a centre of excellence, for the treatment of obstetric fistula, in Uganda.  She was an inspiration to everyone who knew her.
