Latest News – Please read Katie Gordon’s latest report from Kilembe.

Our newest volunteer, Mrs Teresa Dawkes flew to Uganda on 4th July and traveled to Villa Maria Hospital where she will spend 3 weeks.  On her arrival, Teresa was met by Dr Jim Mcwhirter who is also in Uganda and Dr Rogers Kabuye, who accompanied her to Villa Maria Hospital

Teresa with Dr Rogers at Villa Maria Hospital

Teresa is a radiographer in the Breast Screening Unit at the Countess of Chester Hospital, she has sent  an x-ray processor to the hospital which was surplus to requirements here in UK and was going to scrapped.  The processor will make things much easier for the staff there.

Dr Jim McWhirter, who also flew to Uganda on 4th July will be visiting hospitals that have been computerised, to monitor the project.

A party of 4th year students from Bristol Medical School will soon be visiting Uganda as part of their course.

Please check our website for news and more photographs from Teresa and our other volunteers.
