Our newest volunteer, Mrs Teresa Dawkes flew to Uganda on 4th July and will travel to Villa Maria Hospital where she will spend 3 weeks.
Teresa is a radiographer in the Breast Screening Unit at the Countess of Chester Hospital, she has sent an x-ray processor to the hospital which was surplus to requirements here in UK and was going to scrapped. The processor will make things much easier for the staff there.
Dr Jim McWhirter also flew to Uganda on 4th July to visit hospitals that have been computerised, to monitor the project.
A party of 4th year students from Bristol Medical School will soon be visiting Uganda as part of their course.
Please check our website for news and photographs from Teresa and our other volunteers.
