We have heard that secondary schools in Uganda are starting back next week after being in lockdown for most of 2121.
We will post information on this website when we receive information about the situation in hospitals in Uganda.

We are not able to send any volunteers to Uganda at the moment, when travel restrictions have been lifted we will be able to resume operations.
The Rotary Doctor Bank is not sending any volunteers to Uganda at the moment.
When volunteers have been vaccinated, we will start sending volunteers when it is safe for them to travel.
Radiographers Renate Hoare and Cassie Groves have returned home after a very successful 2 weeks at Buluba Hospital. It was Renate’s second visit to Buluba Hospital, Cassie was volunteering for the first time. Their report has been posted on our website. It was Renate’s second visit to Buluba Hospital, Cassie was volunteering for the first time. Their report has been posted on our website. The refurbishment of the maternity unit and operating theatre at Freda Carr Hospital in Ngora, near the border between Uganda and Kenya is complete. The opening ceremony took place recently and the units started admitting paients on Monday 2nd September. Photographs of the refurbishment and of the openeing ceremony will appear soon.
The refurbishment was funded with a Global Grant from the Rotary Foundation and everything was planned by Rotarian Jim McWhirter, a member of the Rotary Club of Reading Matins. This is the second major refurbishment that Jim has undertaken. In 2014, Jim carried out a refurbishment at Kamuli Hospital.
