On 10th October, a Vocational Training Team consisting of a neonatal Consultant and 2 midwives, from Hillingdon Hospital, will visit The Mother of Mercy Hospital, at Kyengera, a deprived area on the outskirts of Kampala, Uganda.

The Team will be led by Past District Governor Gillian Pearce, who has led a number of VTTs to Uganda over a number of years.

The Team will be spending a week at the hospital, updating local healthcare professionals in modern techniques, and providing support for outreach workers in the area.

This is part of a Global Grant Project undertaken by the Rotary Club of Cardiff West, to provide further support for the hospital.

The Team will be visiting the Hospital again in October 2027 and in October 2028.
