2019 is the 25th anniversary of the formation of the Rotary Doctor Bank of Great Britain and Ireland.

Rotarian David Morgan, a member of the Rotary Club of Porthcawl became President of Rotary In Britain and Ireland in 1994 and it was David’s idea to have a Rotary Doctor Bank in RIBI.  On 28th January 2019, Porthcawl Rotary Club held a meeting to celebrate the anniversary.  The event was attended by all the members of the Doctor Bank Management Committee.  The Treasurer, Mansel Thomas gave a short history of the Doctor Bank and spoke about some of the volunteers who had lived up to this year’s Rotary Logo to “Be the Inspiration”.

Past RIBI President David ended the evening by presenting a Paul Harris Fellowship to Arthur Knight in recognition of his 10 years as Doctor Bank Chairman.
